Systems design for new plants to meet end use specifications such a for potable water, for industrial use and manufacturing within existing site and piping and other infrastructure constrains.   In most instances, the new plant will integrate into the existing feed, product and discharge piping infrastructures to minimize capital costs.

 

Systems rehabilitation for faulty systems.  Many desalination systems are designed by engineers who do not have field experience of operating such plants in real seawater conditions.  To maximize their profits, many plants uses inappropriate and cheaper components that limits operational reliability and life cycle.  Wrong metallurgy and use of cheap centrifugal pumps with vibration effects have disastrous impact for clients.  Pacific Century and Gemini Seawater Systems can provide system analysis for clients and design appropriate solutions to effectively rehabilitate a plant.

Process Flow Improvements.    Many companies sell desalination plants to client without understanding the entire process flow of a desalination system.  Inadequate feedwater pressure and flow, over or undersized media filtration, wrong dosing of post treatment  systems and inaccurate measuring are common problems.  These are issues we consider in providing a systems solution to our clients.
